What is Kinetic Sanctuary?

Kinetic Sanctuary is a performance-enhancing recovery and wellness destination designed for athletes, active adults, and anyone seeking to feel and function at their best. Through advanced recovery services and revitalization-focused wellness solutions, we help you enhance performance, recover faster, and live stronger.

Do I have to be an athlete?
Not at all. Kinetic Sanctuary is designed for athletes, active adults, runners, busy professionals, older adults, and anyone who wants to recover more effectively and feel their best. Our services can help support muscle recovery, mobility, relaxation, circulation, energy, and overall well-being—regardless of your fitness or experience level.
What services do you offer?
Kinetic Sanctuary offers cold plunge therapy, hybrid infrared and traditional sauna sessions, compression boot therapy, and full-body red light therapy. Each service is designed to support recovery, circulation, relaxation, energy, mobility, and overall well-being. Services may be booked individually or combined into a personalized recovery experience.
What ages do you serve?

Kinetic Sanctuary welcomes youth athletes, adults, active older adults, and people at a wide range of activity levels. Age requirements may vary by service, and guests under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian. Our team will help determine which services are appropriate based on age, goals, comfort level, and recovery needs.

What should I expect on my first visit?
When you arrive, our team will review your goals, explain the services you have selected, and help you complete any required forms. We will also show you how the equipment works, review important safety information, and make sure you feel comfortable before your session begins.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are strongly recommended so we can reserve your preferred service and time. Limited walk-in availability may be offered, but it will depend on equipment availability and facility capacity. Booking in advance is the best way to ensure your preferred experience is available.
What are your hours?
Our regular hours are Monday–Thursday, 5AM – 8PM; Friday, 5AM – 6PM; and Saturday, 7AM – 3PM Sunday appointments may be available by arrangement. Holiday and special-event hours will be shared on our website and social media.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Late cancellations may result in a fee or loss of the session, and missed appointments are nonrefundable. Membership-specific terms will be provided during enrollment.
When does Kinetic Sanctuary open?
Kinetic Sanctuary is currently preparing for an anticipated October 2026 opening in Lee’s Summit. Follow us on social media or join our email list for construction updates, Founder Membership opportunities, early booking access, and our official grand-opening announcement.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and move easily. Swimwear is recommended for cold plunge and sauna sessions. Loose-fitting clothing and clean socks work well for compression boot therapy. Clothing recommendations for red light therapy may vary depending on the areas you want to target, and our team will explain everything before your session.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing a water bottle, clean swimwear, and a change of clothes if you are using the cold plunge or sauna. You may also want to bring sandals or shower shoes. Before your visit, we will let you know whether any additional items are needed for your selected services.
How long does each service take?
Session length varies by service and individual comfort level. Most recovery sessions last approximately 15 to 45 minutes, while visits that combine multiple services may take longer. The estimated duration will be provided when you book so you can plan your visit accordingly.
Can I combine multiple recovery services?
Yes. Many of our services can be combined to create a more complete recovery experience. For example, you may pair compression boots with red light therapy or combine a sauna session with a cold plunge. Our team can help you choose an appropriate sequence based on your goals, experience, and comfort level.
Are your services safe for everyone?
Our services are designed with guest safety and comfort in mind, but they may not be appropriate for everyone. Certain medical conditions, medications, implanted devices, recent injuries, or other health considerations may affect which services you can use. Please review all safety information, complete the required forms honestly, and speak with a qualified healthcare professional if you are unsure whether a service is appropriate for you.
Can I use the services while pregnant or if I have a medical condition?
Our services are designed with guest safety and comfort in mind, but they may not be appropriate for everyone. Certain medical conditions, medications, implanted devices, recent injuries, or other health considerations may affect which services you can use. Please review all safety information, complete the required forms honestly, and speak with a qualified healthcare professional if you are unsure whether a service is appropriate for you.
Do you offer memberships and single sessions?
Yes. Kinetic Sanctuary offers options for both individual sessions and recurring memberships. Single sessions are a great way to try a service or visit as needed, while memberships are designed for guests who want to make recovery a consistent part of their routine. Visit our Pricing & Memberships page to compare available options.
Can minors use every service?
Age requirements vary by service. Guests under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian, and some services may require a parent or guardian to remain present. Eligibility may also depend on the minor’s age, health history, comfort level, and the manufacturer’s safety guidelines. Please contact our team before booking a minor’s first visit.
Is red light therapy the same as a tanning bed?
No. Tanning beds primarily use ultraviolet light to darken the skin. Red light therapy uses red and near-infrared wavelengths and is not intended to tan the skin. It is commonly used to support recovery, circulation, relaxation, and general wellness without the ultraviolet exposure associated with tanning beds.
